Omine Sake Brewery is a brewery located in Beppu, Akiyoshi-cho, Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. Surrounded by the majestic Akiyoshidai and the clear blue waters of the Beppu Benten Pond, this is a tranquil spot rich in nature, surrounded by mountains and fields. The winery was founded in 1822. The history was interrupted in 1955, but it was revived in 2010 by like-minded people. The water source used by the winery is Benten's spring water, which is a soft water rich in calcium and comes from the karst landform, making the taste of the wine more mellow. Yamada Nishiki rice is cultivated next to the winery, so that we can brew fine sake with the highest quality rice. In addition, this modern and beautiful winery features facilities such as an outlet store, merchandise sales, and a cafe, attracting many Ohmine supporters in an innovative and interesting way. It is not only popular in the country, but also enjoys a high reputation overseas.
